The top surface with the logo tag is intended for intense cardio workouts WITH OR WITHOUT SHOES.
The top of the mat is the side with the logo. This side is perfect for cardio workouts with shoes. The foam, circular side goes against the floor. The bottom side can be used for light yoga and stretching without shoes. However, for intense yoga we recommend the Square36 Yoga Series of mats.
